No institution, no project funding — everything here runs on guru-dakshina and direct community support.

कोई संस्था नहीं, कोई प्रोजेक्ट फंडिंग नहीं — यहाँ सब कुछ गुरु दक्षिणा और समाज के प्रत्यक्ष सहयोग से ही चलता है।

Why we ask

दान क्यों?

जीविका आश्रम कोई पंजीकृत संस्था नहीं है, इसलिए इसके किसी भी कार्यक्रम के पीछे कोई प्रोजेक्ट फंडिंग या अनुदान नहीं है। इस तरह की पहल केवल वृहत समाज के सामर्थ्य के बल पर ही पूर्ण होती आई है। आप विभिन्न तरीकों से इस पहल में जुड़कर अपना सहयोग दे सकते हैं। इसे पूरी तरह बच्चों से प्राप्त गुरु-दक्षिणा और समाज से प्राप्त प्रत्यक्ष दान एवं भिक्षा के बल पर ही आगे बढ़ाने की योजना है।

हमें आपसे सभी प्रकार के (एकबारगी / सतत) सहयोग की अपेक्षा रहेगी...

Jeevika Ashram isn't a registered institution, so there's no project funding or grant behind any of its programs. An initiative like this only gets started on the strength of a wider community. You can join in and support it in a number of ways. The plan is to carry this forward entirely on guru-dakshina from the children, and on direct donations and alms (bhiksha) from the society.

We'll be counting on you for whatever (one-time / ongoing) support you can offer...

  • Guru-dakshina — voluntary, from students who go through a program here, given as they're able to. गुरु दक्षिणा — जीविका आश्रम के किसी कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने वाले विद्यार्थियों की ओर से यथाशक्ति स्वैच्छिक सहयोग।
  • Direct donation and bhiksha — one-time or ongoing, in whatever form you can offer. प्रत्यक्ष दान और भिक्षा — एकबारगी या निरंतर, जिस भी रूप में आप दे सकें।
  • Time, skill, and presence — visiting, teaching a craft, or simply being part of the ashram's daily life counts as much as money does. समय, कौशल और उपस्थिति — आश्रम आना, कोई हस्तकला सिखाना, या बस रोज़मर्रा के जीवन का हिस्सा बनना — यह भी उतना ही मायने रखता है जितना कि पैसा।
